We had a brief discussion of this in the CTO Forum call today. We agreed
that, 10G or 100G, the design remains pretty much the same, and that
with modern DCI optical gear and small(ish) routers, the cost savings
from scaling down to 10G is quite limited.
We also agreed that we need to communicate this to E3D. To do so, we
need more detail on the network design, and we need to develop a cost
sheet. We agreed to do a NREN-only VC in the week after Easter. Please

When will you arrive in Copenhagen for the meeting
next friday? Could
we
either meet for a dinner on thursday or 45 minutes before the NDN NG
meeting starts on Friday.
There will be a dinner, and I think it would be useful to kick off the
discussion there. We can agree some homework ahead of the post-Easter
meeting so that we have costs in place.
