Strategic Partnerships for Higher
Education Innovation and Reform
Help shape the future of higher education in low-income countries
SPHEIR, the new competitive grant fund from DFID, supports higher education
institutions and other organisations to transform higher education in
low-income countries.
Grants of between £1 million and £5 million will be available to
partnerships – groups of institutions and organisations based in the global
North or South – to deliver innovative programmes that will bring about
sustainable change in higher education systems.
SPHEIR partnerships can include organisations from the higher education,
private, government and civil society sectors.
The call for partnership proposals opens on *21 October 2016*.
