Dear Josva,
I have a question about the speaker policy, mainly because the two initial sessions on Quantum and Time and Frequency Networks were squeezed into a single session. As we initially had 6 proposals and some of the proposed speakers were already reached by Jani, we were thinking on having a single 30-min slot with two speakers (two presenters from both EE-FI-SE and DK led projects, 15 min each, including questions).
The same may happen for the Sustainability track, where we have a proposal for two short presentations of real use cases (Kalix, Kaijani) in a single slot.
The speaker policy dictates that invited session speakers have the conference fee waived if they are external, while Nordic NREN employed presenters pay a reduced fee of 250 EUR. Lightning Talk speakers pay the early bird fee (unless they are Nordic NREN employed speakers, which pay 250 EUR).
In those hybrid cases (two speakers on a single slot), does the policy remain the same as for session speakers?
BTW, who offered to contact Kalix and Kaijani? Or, in any case, do you have any contact details I can use to contact them?
Thank you in advance and have a nice weekend.
Best regards,

Hi all,
there are a lot of sessions speakers according to the programme that haven’t confirmed as of yet.
Please update the https://portal.nordu.net/spaces/NDN2026/pages/294715428/Sessions
I would be good to have this in place as much as possible before next Thursday. I have also sent out a meeting to go through this is there are any obstacles we need to discuss online.
Have a nice weekend!
Best regards,
Jonny
Dear colleagues
It took a little longer than expected, but now I’ve been over all the session descriptions and shortened them. I suggest that as a next step, Susanne finds her old trusted quillie and the red ink and go over the texts, fixing whatever nonsense I’ve managed to add and then session responsible takes a quick final look, write here if there is anything needing discussion or just a short “it all looks good” if that should be the case.
We should not spend ages on this now - rather time on getting speakers in.
All the best,
Josva

Dear all!
I’ve taken a look at the session descriptions we have so far and while they all look good, I fear that some are perhaps making promises we cannot keep, simply due to the fact that we do not yet have the speakers. I am not suggesting we should through it all away, but keep the longer texts as a personal reminder for who we would like to ensure as speakers and what we would like to achieve with the session, and then create some shorter more generic texts to go on the initial version of the programme. Then once we have speakers confirmed, if we do our job well, parts go into the description of the actual presentations and parts may move back into the session description.
Since, I am in the lucky situation that I can decide what I spend my time on - only having to consult my wife ;-) - I can volunteer to run through the texts together with Susanne. If there are others that feels the urge, please come forward, or if you think, I am completely out on a limb, speak up.
Cheers,
Josva
